Obituary: Corene Mitchell, 76, Taylor Co., KY

Corene Mitchell, 76, of Campbellsville, KY died at 9:55amET, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in New Albany, IN.

Funeral services will be at 10amET/9amCT, Friday, July 9, 2010, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY by Deacon Dennis May. Burial will be in Lebanon National Cemetery, 20 Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Caleb Bland, Larry Lyons, Allan Purdom, David White, Steve Wise, Stewart Wise, Matt Wright, and Zach Wright. Honorary pallbearers: Mark Cambron, Josh Wise, Luke Wise, and Shawn Wise.

Corene Mitchell, Taylor Co., KY (1933-2010)

Corene Mitchell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Les Lyons and Floye Enyart Lyons, was born in Marion Co. KY, Saturday, December 23, 1933. She died at 9:55amET, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in New Albany, Floyd Co., IN at the age of 76 years, 6 months, and 14 days.

She was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by three husbands: James T. Wright, Sr. Robert "Bob" Butner and Henry Lewis Mitchell.

Survived by the following:
  • A son and daughter-in-law, James T. and Lori Wright of Louisville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Matt Wright and wife, Susie of Lexington, KY; Zachary Wright and wife, Tiffany and Jamie Wright of Louisville, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: Malachi Wright, Christany Wright and Lileigh Wright of Louisville, KY; Roxie Wright and Farrah Wright of Lexington, KY

  • A special great-nephew, Logan Benningfield

  • A God child, Stephanie Bland

  • One brother and three sisters: Pauline Wise of Campbellsville, KY

  • Carol Mienzer and husband, Bob of Northpoint, FL; Sonny Lyons and wife, Phyllis of Elk Horn, KY; and Elsie Davenport and husband, Hugh of Lafayette, Tn

  • Brother-in-law: Donnie Purdom of Springfield, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: James L. Lyons, Buddy Lyons and Rita Purdom.

Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
