Altha Lois DeSpain, age 85, of South Carden St., Campbellsville, KY, died Friday, June 17, 2010, at Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pmET/noonCT, Monday, June 21, 2010, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home, 503 E. Main ST, Campbellsville, KY, with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro Shaun Caudill officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8pmET/4-7pmCT, at the Lyon Dewitt Funeral Home.



Altha Lois DeSpain, 85, Taylor Co., KY (1924-2010)

She was the daughter of the late Albert and Zanie Allen. She was born Saturday, November 8, 1924, and died Friday, June 18, 2010, in Campbellville, KY, at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 10 days.She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman DeSpain on February 2, 2008, one step-son, Lerman DeSpain; one daughter, Brenda Allen; grandson, Benny Jackson; two brothers, Lilburn Allen and Albert Allen, Jr;, two sisters, Goldie DeSpain and Nova Nemus.She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons; Larry DeSpain and Donnie DeSpain of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two daughters: Frances Cook of Campbellsville, KY; and Barbara Bell of Lebanon, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Several great grandchildren
  • And two great great grandchildren
Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home, 503 E. Main ST, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
