Obituary: Mrs. Florence Dorothy Russell, 94, Green Co., KY

Mrs. Russell was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. She was a member of a respected Green Co. family and was a cook. She leaves a loving family and many wonderful friends

Mrs. Florence Dorothy Russell departed this life Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Greensburg, KY.The funeral service will be at 2pmCT, Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Foster-Toler Funeral Home, 209 W. Court ST, Greensburg, KY with Rev. Kevin Brantley the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Greensburg Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the funeral home.



Mrs. Florence Dorothy Russell, Green Co., KY (1915-2010)

Mrs. Florence Dorothy Russell was born Thursday, July 5, 1915 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN, to the late William F.H. Piel and Ida Beaty Piel. She departed this life Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Greensburg, Green Co, KY, having attained the age of ninety-four years, eleven months and seven days.

Mrs. Russell had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church in Dolan, IN.

She attended the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church for the past fifteen years. She was a cook.

She is preceded in death by her husband Sherman Ellsworth Russell, one brother Clay Piel and one sister Lula Huffman.She is survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Bill and Bettie Jo Larimore Russell of Greensburg, KY

  • One daughter and son-in-law: Susan and David Miller of Mitchell, IN
She made many wonderful friends.

The family has requested donations be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Children's Home. These can be made at the funeral homeFoster-Toler Funeral Home, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
