Obituary: Phillip Gilpin, 68, Taylor Co., KY

Phillip Gilpin, age 68, of Campbellsville, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, after an illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11amET/10amCT, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home, 503 E. Main ST, Campbellsville, KY, with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. Rev. James Jones and Rev. Carlos Compton are the officiating clergy.

Phillip Gilpin, Taylor Co., KY (1941-2010)

He was the son of the late Orville and Ruth Bland Gilpin. He was born Friday, June 6, 1941, and died May 30, 2010, at the age of 68 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Gilpin of Campbellsville, KY, and the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Bart and Candace Gilpin of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Marchetta & Sammy Garrison and Cindy and Mike Rodgers of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Haley Ray Rodgers, Steven Spencer Dalton, Sabrina Reath Garrison, Anie McCall Gilpin, and Raegan Shae Mardis./li>
  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Dwight and Aileen Gilpin of Campbellsville, KY; and Bill and Mary Nell Bland of Mt. Washington, KY

  • Two sisters: Sue and Don Eversay of Louisville, KY and Shirley and Glenn Trammell of Arkansas.
Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangments.
