Obituary: Helen McDermott Noel, 84 Adair Co., KY

She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY

Helen McDermott Noel of Columbia, KY, formerly of Acton, KY, died at 6:23pmET, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in Elizabethtown, KY.

The funeral service will be at 11amET/10amCT, Friday, June 4, 2010, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville by Rev. Earl West. Burial will be in Elk Horn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pmET/4-7pmCT, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Pallbearers: Kelsay "Bug" Barnes, Jimmy Bottoms, Armand Hayes, Roy Holt, Tommy Levesque, and Greg Wise.

Helen McDermott Noel, Adair Co, KY (1925 - 2010)

Helen McDermott Noel of Columbia, KY, formerly of Acton, KY, daughter of the late Robert Elza McDermott and Nell Hogan McDermott was born Sunday, November 1, 1925 in Taylor Co., KY. She died at 6:23pmET, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in Elizabethtown, KY, at the age of 84 years and 7 months.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church.

She was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

She united in marriage to Roger Noel October 28, 1961. He preceded her in death December 1, 1997.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and one son: Jane Levesque of Campbellsville, KY, and Edward Lee Allen of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Kathy Davis of Greensburg, KY; Tommy Levesque of Columbia, KY; Susan Wise and husband, Greg of Campbellsville, KY; and Sharon Hutchins and husband, Dee of Hodgenville, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: Kristin Wheatley of Greensburg, KY; Zachary Wise and Seth Wise of Campbellsville, KY; and Allyson Hutchins and Andrew Hutchins of Hodgenville, KY

  • Two great-great-grandchildren: Jayden Murphy and Ethan Murphy of Greensburg, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
