He was a member of respected Damron Creek area family, with relatives in Adair and Russell Counties.

Jacob Omrie Cooper, 80, Damron Creek RD, Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, May 24, 2010, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 2pmCT, Friday, May 28, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Preston Richardson and Bro. Marvin Grider the officiating clergy. Special music will be by the Foley Family. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Jacob Omrie Cooper, Russell Co., KY (1929-2010)

Jacob Omrie Cooper was the son of the late Lona Wilson Cooper and Jacob M. Cooper. was born Thursday, July 11, 1929, in Russell County, KY, and died Monday, May 24, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 80 years, 10 months, and 13 days.

He is survived by his wife, Mavis Marlene Roy Cooper, and the following:
  • Three daughters: Linda Marlene Tucker, and Bonita Jayne Nelson, both of Russell Springs, KY; and Lynetta Jean Guffey, Columbia, KY
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Valda, David O, and Hiram Tevo Cooper.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, in charge of arrangements.
