Obituary: Margie Edwards, 71, Adair Co., KY

An Oklahoma native, she was a member of a highly regarded Adair Co., KY, family. She was retired from Osh Kosh B'Gosh and had been employed at Innovative Colours, both in Columbia, KY. She was the widow of the late Jake Edwards

Margie Edwards, 71, Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 6:18amCT, at her home.

The funeral service will be Friday, May 7, 2010, at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Lonny Karnes officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Thursday, May 6, 2010, at the funeral home.



Margie Edwards, Adair Co., KY (1938-2010)

She was born Friday, May 6, 1938, in Pawhuska, Osage Co., OK. She died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 71 years, 11 months, and 29 days.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Gullett; her mother, Lela Pitts Gullett Lott, and her step-father, Russell Lott and by a brother, Kenneth Gullett.Her husband, Jake Edwards, preceded her in death July 18, 1989.Survivors include the following:
  • Her children: Brenda and husband Larry Streeval; David and his wife Carolyn Edwards, of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Brad Streeval, Brooke and her husband Jeb Westerfield, Stephen and his wife Courtney Edwards, and Jacob Edwards

  • One great-grandchild: Caleb Lee

  • Three sisters: Betty Jo Cowan, Indianapolis, IN; Norma and her husband Odell Richard, all of Columbia, KY; and Connie and her husband Dave Copeland, Livingston, TN
She was retired from Osh Kosh and was a seamstress at Innovative Colours, Columbia, KY.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
