Obituary: Connie Blankenship, 54, Russell Springs, KY

She was a native of Adair Co. and was a member of a large, popular family here

Connie "Niecie" Blankenship, 54, of Russell Springs, KY, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at her home.

Memorial services will be Friday, April 30, 2010, at 11:00amCT, at Bearwallow Cemetery, 6080 Liberty RD, with Pastor Jamie McCormick officiating. Cremation has been chosen and there will be no visitation. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.



Connie "Niecie" Blankenship, 54, Russell Co., KY (1956-2010)

Connie "Niecie" Blankenship was a daughter of the late Condy Blankenship and Mabel Burton Simpson Blankenship. She was a native of Adair County and was born Friday April 27, 1956. She died in Russell Springs, Russell County, exactly 54 years later on April 27, 2010.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Shannon and her husband Antonio Colorado, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers and two half-brothers: L.C. Simpson, Campbellsville, KY; James Dillon of Bowling Green, KY; and Ricky and Jeff Blankenship, both of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Janie Cole of Michigan and Faye Wray of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Cody Estes, Jameson Brown, and Isabel Dillon

  • Her special pet: Patches

  • And several other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Marshall and Carl Sherman Simpson, Junior Lumpkin, and Clemadine Parvin.
