Obituary: B.J. Holt, 85, Russell Co., KY

He was a member of a respected Russell Co., family. He was a member of the Jamestown Christian Church and served in the U.S. Army in World War II

B.J. Holt, Braxton RD, 85 Jamestown, KY, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 10:16amCT in Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.The funeral service will be at 11amCT, Saturday, April 24, 2010, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main ST, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. tony Stephens and Bro. Ken Charlton officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Friday, April 23, 2010, at the funeral home.



B.J. Holt, Russell Co., KY (1924-2010)

B.J. Holt, was the son of the late Marcus Holt and Velma McFarland Holt. He was born September 24, 1924, in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY, and died Wednesday, April 21, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 85 years, 6 months, and 28 days.

He a member of the Jamestown Christian Church. He was employed by HE Management. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.

He is survived by the following:
  • A son and daughter in law: Rollin and Sandy Holt of Greenwood, IN

  • One brother: Glen Holt, Jamestown, KY

  • One sister: Gladys Nickel, Jamestown, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Holt.

H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 North Main ST, Jamestown, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
