Obituary: Ocella Corbin, 68, Columbia, KY

She was a member of a large, respected South Adair County Family. She leaves 39 living descendants; one son preceded her in death

Ocella Corbin, age 68 years of 1184 Addition One Drive, Columbia, Ky. passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 7:10am at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service will be Friday, April 23, 2010 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Long the officiating clergy. Interment will in Harrods Fork Cemetery, 123 Harrods Fork Circle, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 3:30pmCT, Thursday, April 22, 2010.



Ocella Corbin, Adair Co., KY (1941-2010)

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Joe Ervin and Cordia Campbell Stotts. She was born on Thursday, May 29, 1941 and died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 22 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Sheila Gatlin of Pleasant View, TN; Carol Wilkerson of Campbellsville, KY and Melissa Corbin of Columbia, KY.

  • Two sons: Kenny Corbin of Columbia, KY. and Billy Corbin of Dade County, FL
  • One sister: Peggy Compton of Frost Proof, FL
  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Thirteen great grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews and ahost of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by one son, Greg Corbin on November 24, 2005.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
