2010 Census: With 4 days remaining, Adair at 72% Green County still leads area with 76% mail in participation With just four days left to mail-in 2010 Census forms, there are still 28% of Adair Countians who have not done so. Adair Countians are participating at a much higher rate than ever, and well above the national rate of 66%, but county leaders had hoped for a higher response, one relative to the importance of the count. "I'm proud of that Adair Countians are showing a competitive pride in seeing that everyone is counted," Judge Ann Melton said, "now I hope that those who have already mailed in the forms will do all they can do to help friends, neighbors, and acquaintances be counted. It's hard to overestimate how important the census is." Participation rates at 7:21amCT, Tuesday, April 13, 2010
