Obituary: Quentin Dunbar, 85, Russell Co., KY

He was a member of the Louisville Separate Baptist Church and was retired from Pinaire Lithographing Co.

Quentin Dunbar, 85, Louisville, KY, formerly of Russell Co., KY, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, in Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 2pmCT, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jim Goff the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Square Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Thursday, April 15, 2010, at the funeral home.



Quentin Dunbar, native of Russell Co., KY (1924-2010)

Quentin Dunbar was born Monday, October 20, 1924, in Russell Co., KY. He was the son of the late Flona Popplewell Dunbar and Corbin Dunbar. He died in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, on Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the age of 85 years, 5 months, and 22 days.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Smith Dunbar, and the following:
  • Two sons: Barry Michael (Brenda) Dunbar, and Kenton Smith (Sherry) Dunbar, both of Louisville, KY

  • One daughter: Lisa Michelle (Donnie) Finch, Louisville, KY

  • Four sisters: Roberta Morrison, New Mexico; Gwendolyn Conn, Columbia, KY; Elaine Davidson, Louisville, KY; and Colleen Perkins, Louisville, KY.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gyla Harrison.

He was retired from Pinaire Lithographying and was a member of Louisville Separate Baptist Church. He was a fifty year member of Lewis-Parkland Masonic Lodge 638.

Bernard Funeral Home, Russell Springs, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
