Obituary: Charles Monroe Cochran, 64, Casey Co., KY

He was retired from General Electric and was a member of the Atwood Chapel United Methodist Church

Charles Monroe Cochran, 64, Lebanon, KY, died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at his residence.

The funeral service will be at 11amET/10amCT, Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at the Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY, with Dennis May officiating. Burial will be in Tapscott Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9pmET/5-8pmCT, Tuesday, April 13, 2010, and after 8amET/7amCT, Wednesday, at the funeral home



Pallbearers will be Jeff Shepperson, Jackie Brockman, Ricky Wright, Thomas Gribbins, Kenny Smothers, and Bill Raikes. Honorary pallbearers will be Faith and Ben Vaught, Jordan Hamilton, and Katlyn Spears.

Charles Monroe Cochran, Casey Co., KY native (1945-2010)

Charles Monroe Cochran was the son of the late George Roe Cochran and Bessie Sharp Cochran. He was born Monday, August 20, 1945, in Casey Co., KY and died Saturday, April 10, 2010, in Lebanon, Marion Co., KY at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 21 days.

He was a retired employee of General Electric. He was a member of the Atwood Chapel United Methodist Church.He is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Stacy May, Lebanon, KY; Donna Montgomery, Gravel Switch, KY; and Robin Spaulding, Bradfordville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Three sisters: Cleo Coffman, Louisville, KY; and Bernice Luttrell and Carol Anderson, both Paxton, IL

  • Five brothers: Lowell Cochran, Mooresville, IN; Paul Cochran, Stanford, KY; Donald Lee Cochran and Marvin Cochran, both of Liberty, KY; and Garland Cochran, Bradfordville, KY
He was preceded in death by four siblings.

Bartle Funeral Home, Liberty, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
