Obituary: Georgia Hathaway, 75, Russell Co., KY

Georgia Hathaway, S. Main ST, Jamestown, KY, died Friday, April 9, 2010, at 6:25pmCT, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service will be at 4pmCT Sunday, April 11, 2010, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main ST, Jamestown, KY with Bro. Jamie McCormack officiating. Visitation will be after 1pmCT, Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the funeral home.

Georgia Hathaway, Russell Co., KY (1935-2010)

She was the daughter of the late Howard James and Evelyn Johnson James. She was born Wednesday, February 27, 1985, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY and died Friday, April 9, 2010, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 13 days.She was a chef cook.She is survived by her husband, George Hathaway, Jamestown, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Tim D. Grigsby and Greg Grigsby, both of Jamestown, KY

  • Two daughters: Penny Krieg, Yedkinville, NC; and Tonya Elliott, Anderson, IN

  • Three step sons: Steve Hathaway, Muncie, IN; Gary Hathaway, Muncie, IN; and Russell Hathaway, Kentland, IN

  • Three step daughters: Sharon Hathaway, Delphi, IN; Sara Swartz, Lafayette, IN; and Kathy Yerkes, Camden, IN

  • One brother: Bennett (Joyce) James, Fairplay, KY

  • Nineteen grandchildren

  • Thirty one great grandchildren

  • One great grandchild
She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara May James; one step daughter, Sandy Taylor; and two grandchildren, Eric David Krieg and Nicki Lynn Grigsby.

Cremation has been chosen.

H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
