Obituary: Dale Russell, 77, Russell Co., KY

Mr. Russell was a farmer and a member of the Ono Community Church. He was a member of a large, respected Russell County family. He was one of the last four surviving members of a family

Dale Russell, 77, Hwy 3525, Russell Springs, KY, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at his home.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Elvis Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery on Gosser Ridge. Visitation will be after 11amCT, at the funeral home.



Dale Russell, 77, Russell Co., KY (1933-2010)

Dale Russell was the son of the late Hazel Dierking Russsell and Elvert Russell. He was born Wednesday, January 4, 1933, in Russell Co., KY, and died Sunday, April 4, 2010, in Russell Springs, Russell Co.,. KY, at the age of 77 years, and three months.

He was a farmer and a member of the Ono Community Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deana Gail Russell, and by eight brothers and eight sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Gosser Russell, and the following:
  • Two children: Janet Smith, Lexington, KY; and Matthew Russell, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Lacrisia Haynes, Lexington, KY; and Hunter Haynes, Somerset, KY

  • One great grandchild: Zaria McPherson

  • One brother: Fred Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Mildred Lynch and Violet Russell, both of Russell Springs, KY
Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
