Obituary: Marilyn June Stevens, 71, Adair Co., native

She was a member of a highly regarded Northeastern Adair County, KY merchant family. She is warmly remembered by her classmates in county elementary school and at Adair County High School.

Marilyn June Stevens, 71, Louisville, KY, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at 3:50am, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be Sunday, April 4, 2010, at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Terry White officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 5:30pmCT, Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.



Marilyn June Young Stevens, 71, Adair Co. native (1939-2010)

She was the daughter of the late Hugh Kyle and Elva Blair Young. She was born in Adair Co., KY, Tuesday, March 14, 1939, and died Friday, April 2, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 71 years and 19 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her son and daughter in law: Michael and Jill Stevens, Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters and brothers in law: Carolyn Jo, and husband Henry Sandusky of Columbia, KY; and Margie Ann and her husband Steve Bocko, Louisville, KY

  • One brother and sister in law: Hugh and his wife Dottie Young, Louisville, KY

  • Several nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and friends
Memorials are suggested to Columbia Christian Church and may be left at the funeral home.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
