Obituary: Murvin Grant, 85, Adair Co., KY Mr. Grant was a member of a large, respected Adair County family. He was a member of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene and a retired dairy farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and will be accorded full military honors by VFW Post 6097, Columbia, KY Murvin Grant, age 85 years of Glensfork, KY, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at 10:15amCT at the VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jay Damron the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Regan Cemetery at Glensfork, KY, with full military honors by the local VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 3:30pmCT, at the funeral home. Murvin Grant, Adair Co., KY (1924-2010) He was the son of the late Will and Ada Compton Grant of Adair Co., KY. He was born on Monday, May 5, 1924 and died Monday, March 22, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 25 days. He was a member of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, a U.S. Army Veteran of War World II, and was a retired dairy farmer. Preceded in death by his wife, Laura E. Grant on January 29, 2002. He is survived by the following:
