Obituary: James Carlos Holland, 76, Metcalfe Co., KY

He was a member of a respected Metcalfe Co., KY family and of the Foundation United Methodist Church. Mr. Holland was a retired truck driver

James Carlos Holland, age 76, of Edmonton, KY died Sunday, March 21, 2010 in Edmonton.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Foundation Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8pmCT,Tuesday, March 23, 2010, and after 9amCT, Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late James Holland and Elma Winnie Cassady Holland of Edmonton, KY, who survives.Carlos was a retired truck driver and member of the Foundation Methodist Church.

Besides his mother he is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Patty Kirby and Tracey Holland of Edmonton, KY; and Carla (Eddie) Russell, Glasgow, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Melissa Brown and Michelle Bailey both of Sulphur Well, KY; Adam and Aaron Russell of Glasgow, KY and Michael Holland of Lexington, KY

  • Three great grandchildren: Dakota and Dyllan Brown and Zack Curry, all of Sulphur Well, KY.

  • His caregivers: Donnie and Vickie Harris of Edmonton, KY and Ralph and Liz Scott of Edmonton, KY
Besides his father he was preceded in death by two sons James Carlos Holland Jr and Steven Holland.

Butler Funeral Home, Edmonton, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
