Obituary: William (Bill) Nicely, 78, Casey Co., KY

Mr. Nicely was the head of a large, respected South Central Kentucky family. He leaves 46 direct living descendants. He was a farmer

Mr. William (Bill) Nicely, Wilkinson BLVD, Liberty, KY, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be at 2pmCT, Saturday, March 20, 2010, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main ST, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Ken Charlton officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the funeral home.



William (Bill) Nicely (1931-2010)

William (Bill) Nicely was the son of the late James and Ida Mae Debord Nicely. He was born Friday, October 30, 1931, in Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle Co., KY, and died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, at the age of 78 years, 4 months, and 14 days.

He was a farmer.He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: William Gene Nicely and Jimmy Dean Nicely, both of New Mexico

  • Four daughters: Kareen Collins, Plainfield, In; ;Tammy Cravens, Greenwood, IN; Jo Ellen Foster, Indianapolis, IN; and Patty Cook, Jamestown, KY

  • A sister: Jessie Fisher, Indianapolis, IN

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Twenty-six great grandchildren
H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main ST, Jamestown, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
