Obituary: Mrs. Pansy Jones Clark, 91, Green Co., KY

She was a native of Metcalfe Co., KY. She was a homemaker and was member of the Trammel Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Pansy Jones Clark of Green Co., KY, departed this life on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was 91 years, two months and five days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Pansy Jones Clark will be conducted at 1pmCT, Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Carlos Compton and Bro. Lee Warf will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4 to 9pmCT., Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Friday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers will be Doug Clark, Ricky Atwell, Jimmy Wilcoxson, Jessie Murrell, Michael Young, Christopher Pruitt, Billy Joe Jeffries, Jessie Murrell, Jr., Pleas Murrell. Honorary pallbearers are Family Home Health.

Mrs. Pansy Jones Clark, Green Co., KY (1919-2010)

Mrs. Pansy Jones Clark of Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late George Alfred Jones and Lenora Ellen Estes Jones, was born on Friday, January 10, 1919 in Metcalfe Co. KY and departed this life on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Barren Co. KY. She was 91 years, two months and five days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Trammel Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Houston G. Clark on December 17, 1940 who preceded her in death on February 12, 1996.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: James Luther Clark and Ralph Clark both of Greensburg, KY

  • Three daughters and two sons-in-law: Elva Doris Clark of Campbellsville, KY; Lou Ellen and Jerry Arnett, and Alice and Charlie Davisson all of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother: Lured Jones of Edmonton, KY

  • A sister-in-law: Francis Jones of Louisville, KY

  • Two special caregivers: Ramona Simpson and Della Loyall

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
