Obituary: Kari Leah Owens, 25, Greensburg, KY

She was a member of a respected Green Co., KY, family and was a sister of Hannah Rowe, Columbia, KY. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and was assistant manager of the Dollar General Store in Campbellsville, KY.

Kari Leah Owens, 25, Greensburg, KY, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY after sustaining injuries in a four-wheeler accident.

Funeral services for Kari Leah Owens will be conducted at 2pmCT, Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 Court ST, Greensburg, KY, with Bro. DeWayne Southwood and Bro. Randy Milby officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6pmCT, Tuesday, March 16, 2010, and after 7amCT, Wednesday, March 17, 2010, also at the funeral home. There will be no burial. The family requested cremation.



Kari Leah Owens, 25, Green Co., KY (1985-2010)

Kari Leah Owens was born Saturday, February 2, 1985, in Gulfport MS, to Karen Sparks Owens of Greensburg and the late Bill Owens. She departed this life Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville KY, after sustaining injuries in a four wheeler accident, having attained the age of twenty-five years, one month, and ten days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was Assistant Manager at the Dollar General Store in Campbellsville, KY.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her mother: Karen Sparks Owens, Greensburg, KY

  • Four sisters: Hannah Rowe (Billy), Columbia, KY; Damita Loy, Florida; Holly Florea and Monica Peacock, both of Oklahoma

  • One nephew: Dustin Stapleton

  • Three nieces: Olivia Day, and Hilary and Hailey Florea

  • One great niece: Chloe Stapleton

  • One nephew: Braxton Stapleton

  • And one special cousin, Rikk Phillips
