Obituary: Irene Crawhorn, 73, Columbia, KY

She was a member of a large, respected West Adair Co., KY, family. She was a member of the Sparksville Baptist Church and was retired from the Douglas Furniture Company in Chicago, IL

Irene Crawhorn, 73, Columbia, KY, died Friday, March 12, 2010, at 11:40amCT, at the Hospice Center of Southern KY, Bowling Green, KY.

The funeral service will be Monday, March 15, 2010, at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Darrell Landis officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery, 2700 Jones Chapel RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.



Irene Corbin Crawhorn, Adair Co., KY (1936-2010)

She was a daughter of the late Frank and Nora Ethel Sneed Corbin. She was born Friday, June 26, 1936 and died Friday, March 12, 2010, in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY, at the age of 73 years, 8 months, and 15 days.

She was a member of the Sparksville Baptist Church and was retired from Douglas Furniture Company in Chicago, IL.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Warren Crawhorn, Columbia, KY

  • Two daughters: Linda Dubberke, Evergreen Park, IL; and Freda Scott, Chicago Ridge, IL

  • One brother: Arnold Corbin, Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Martha Parrish, Glasgow, KY; and Dorothy Petty and Frances Coomer, both of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Five step-children

  • Two great grandchildren

  • Five step great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Ollie Corbin, Mary Gowen, James M. Corbin, and Thomas Houston Corbin.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangement.
