Obituary: Glenn Brown, 71 Knifley, Adair Co., KY

Mr. Brown was a member of a large, highly regarded North Adair County family. He was a farmer and he preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ for 33 years. He was a member of Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church

Glenn Brown, 71, Knifley, KY, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at his home.

The funeral service for Glenn Brown will be at McKinney Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville RD, Liberty, KY, at 3pmET/2pmCT, Sunday, March 14, 2010, with Bro. James Antle, Bro. Willard Parson, and Bro. Carl Froedge officiating. Burial will be in Hitter Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 13, 2010, from 5pmET/4pmCT to 9pmET/8pmCT, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Willard Parson, Steve Corbin, Clifton Cowan, Ralph Foster, and Don Watson.



Glenn Brown, 71, Adair Co., KY (1938-2010)

Glenn Brown was the son of the late Earl Brown and Martha Ellen Bedwell Brown. He was born in Adair Co., KY, on Wednesday, July 27, 1938 and died at Knifley, Adair Co., KY on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the age of 71 years, 6 months, and 2 days.

He was a farmer and was a member of the Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church. He preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bottoms Brown, Knifley, KY, and the following:
  • Four children and their, spouses: Nancy and her husband Melvin Despain, Twalla Holmes, Tracy and his wife Sherry Brown, and Jessie and his wife Tonya Brown

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Three great grandchildren

  • Six brothers: Jim, Edward, Gordon, Hershel, George and John Brown

  • Three sisters: Doris McAnelly, Sue Clarkston, and Midge Rosenburger
McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
