Obituary: Mr. Coy Callahan, Jr., 62

Coy Callahan, Jr. , age 62, of the Feathersburg community of Adair Co., KY, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at University of Louisville Hospital after an illness.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro Raymond Clark, officiating. Burial was in Callahan Cemetery, Feathersburg, Adair County, KY.



Pallbearers were Kerry Wayne Foley, Bobby Kiser, Bobby Benedict, Joseph Kessinger, David Blake, and Bobby Fisher.

Mr. Coy Callahan, Jr. 62 (1948-2010)

He was the son of the late Henry Coy and Eva Jane Callahan. He was born April 26, 1948, and died March 4, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 61 years, 10 months, and 5 days.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Eddie Callahan, Harold Callahan, David Callahan and Mattie Bell Callahan.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Callahan, and the following:
  • One son: Robin Callahan of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three daughters: Lacrishia Callahan of Campbellsville, KY; Candace Callahan, Bowling Green, KY: and Maria Fajardo of Lincoln Co., KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • One brother: Eugene Callahan of Campbellsville, KY
  • Two sisters: Virginia Ewing and Margaret Stultz, both of Indiana.
  • Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home, Campbellsville, KY, was in charge of arrangements.
