Mrs. Zelma Lee Mars, 80, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY.

Mrs. Zelma Lee Mars of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Fred Wright and Mary Rodgers Wright, was born on Wednesday, August 7, 1929 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. She was 80 years, 6 months, and 27 days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Zelma Lee Mars will be conducted at 1pmCT, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Judd Cemetery. Bro. Timmy Glass and Bro. Trent Davis will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3 to 9pmCT., Monday, March 8, 2010 and after 7amCT, Tuesday, March 9, 2010, until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers will be Paul Dixon, Doug Robertson, Daryl Mars, Freddie Robertson, Gary Robertson, Elwood Robertson, Robert Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Mars Bunco Buddies and Homemakers.

Mrs. Zelma Lee Mars, Green Co. native (1929-2010)

Mrs. Zelma Lee Mars of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Fred Wright and Mary Rodgers Wright, was born on Wednesday, August 7, 1929 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. She was 80 years, 6 months, and 27 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to L.C. Mars on April 14, 1956 who preceded her in death on April 24, 1999.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law: Frances and Bill Mars of Greensburg, KY; a special friend: George Dangerfield of Greensburg, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
