Obituary: Radford Garmon, 77, Edmonton, KY

Mr. Garmon was a member of a respected Metcalfe Co., KY family. He was a retired welder following a career with Kentucky Manufacturing in Louisville, KY.

Radford Garmon, age 77, Edmonton, KY, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Commonwealth Regional Speciality Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services for Radford Garmon will be held 1pmCT, Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Moore Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3pmCT until 8pmCT, Friday, March 5, 2010, and after 9amCT, Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Herman and Irene Hendricks Garmon.

He was a retired welder following a career as a welder with Kentucky Manufacturing in Louisville, KY

He is survived by his wife Barbara Burton Garmon, Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Larry and his wife Bonnie Garmon, Brooks, KY

  • One daughter: Pamala and her husband Eddie Shockley, Edmonton, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Heather and Dustin Jessie both of Edmonton, KY

  • Two special children he helped raise: Laura Leach of Bowling Green, KY; and Sam Leach of Brooks, KY

  • Three brothers: Orville and his wife Connie Garmon; Bonnie Lewis and son Gary Dean all of Edmonton, KY; and Lonnie and his wife Jane Garmon, Mt. Washington, KY

  • One sister: Marjorie Jean and husband Bobby Shaw of Florida
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Erbana Kurtz.

Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
