Obituary: Calvin Rexroat, 83, Russell Springs, KY

Calvin Rexroat was member of a respected Russell Co., KY, family, a construction worker, and of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran

Calvin W. Rexroat, 83, Robertson RD, Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 11amCT, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Loy the officiating clergy. Special music will be rendered by Curt Hill. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5pmCT, Friday, March 5, 2010.



Pallbearers will be Chuck Sheffield, Julio Ruiz, Bill Steele, Tony Boyd, Travis Mills, Bobby Joe Guffey, and Daniel Judd.

Calvin W. Rexroat, Russell Co., KY (1926-2010)

Calvin W. Rexroat was the son of the late Mary E. Cooper Rexroat and John E. Rexroat. He was born Sunday, August 15, 1926, in Russell Co., KY, and died Monday, March 1, 2010, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 14 days.

Mr. Rexroat was a construction worker and was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Mary Jane and her husband Lyle Boyd, Russell Springs, KY

  • One grandson: Tony Boyd, Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister, Esmol Scales, Jamestown, KY

  • One sister-in-law: Myrtle Rexroat, Russell Springs, KY
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hollie Rexroat and Oris Rexroat; and one sister, Rosa Collins.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
