Obituary: Lizzie Nell Bradshaw Coffey, 88, Michigan

She was a member of a large, respected family with deep local ties in Southeastern Adair and in Russell Counties, KY and leaves many relatives in the area.

Lizzie Nell Bradshaw Coffey, 88, Wayland, MI and Ann Arbor, MI formerly of Adair County, Ky. passed away early Monday, February 15, 2010 at Maplewood Assisted Living in Wayland, MI.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 16, 2010, in Ann Arbor, MI. Burial will be in the Washtenong Cemetery, near Ann Arbor, MI.



Lizzie Nell Bradshaw Coffey, 88, formerly of Adair Co., KY (1922-2010)

She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison Bradshaw, Sr. and Mallie Blakey Bradshaw of Adair County, KY. She was born on Wednesday, January 4, 1922 and died on Monday, February 15, 2010, in Wayland, Allegan Co. MI, at the age of 88 years, 1 month, and 11 days.She was preceded in death by her husband Alpha Ernest Coffey in 1980.

Lizzie Nell Bradshaw Coffey is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Janice Coffey Easterday McNett, Kalamazoo, MI; Joyce Coffey Iskowitz of Florida and Judy Coffey Tomlin Cyr, Milford, MI

  • Two sisters: McEva Mayse and husband Arnold of Glensfork, KY, Anna Rose Collins of Pinckney, MI

  • One brother: B. H. Bradshaw Jr., Columbia, KY

  • Grandchildren: Kerry Easterday Olvera, Eric Easterday, Kyle Tomlin all of Michigan and Laura Tomlin Brown of Florida

  • Great grandchildren: Lydia, Carlos and Anna Olvera
Preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Irving Bradshaw, James W. Bradshaw, Louise Hubbard and Lucille Frazier.
