Obituary: Hattie (Leigh) Brown, 70, Metcalfe Co., KY

She was the property manager of Treetops Apartments in Edmonton, KY, for over 20 years

Hattie "Leigh" Brown, 70 of Edmonton, KY, passed away peacefully February 13, 2010 at the Metcalfe Health Care Center in Edmonton, KY, after a three year battle with breast cancer.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held in the spring in Edmonton, KY.



Born in Huntsville, AL, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Flora Couch.

Leigh was the property manager for Treetop apartments in Edmonton for over 20 years.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her four children: Ronda Whittaker, Donna Cannon, Elizabeth Crompton, and Ronald Schoolcraft

  • Seven grandchildren: Alexander and Jennifer Cannon, Heather and Jessica Whittaker, Logan Schoolcraft, Erica and Jonathan Crompton

  • Two great grandchildren: Matilda and Henry Cannon
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
