Loretta New Ritchie, 83, Science Hill, KY She was a member of the Floyd Switch Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Loretta New Ritchie, 83, of Science Hill, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2010 at The Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. Services were held on Saturday, January 31, 2010 in the Chapel of Morris-Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, KY. Burial was in the Science Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Thacker, Perry Keller, Chris New, Austin New, Jesse Mullins and K.C. Kless. Loretta New Ritchie, Science Hill, KY (1925-2010) Loretta New Ritchie was born in Wayne County, KY, on Sunday, November 8, 1925 the daughter of Dellas Ewell and Sarah Ethel Nevels New. She died Tuesday, January 27, 2010, at the age of 83 years, 2 months, and 18 days. She was a homemaker and a member of the Floyd Switch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Perry and Celia Denney New, Etna New, John Riley and Julia Owens Nevels; her sisters, Ruby Iva Dick and Clona Mae Wilson; her brothers, Glen Oliver New and Earnest Edwin New. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Earl Ritchie, Sr., (whom she married September 21, 1945) of Science Hill, KY, and the following:
