Obituary: Talton Mercer, 71, Adair Co., KY He was a member of the Columbia church of Christ. Mr. Mercer was retired from General Motors in Anderson, IN. He was an auctioneer and farmer, and a member of Masonic Lodge #259 in Livingston, TN. Talton "Red" Mercer age 71 years of Breeding Loop, Breeding, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 8:40pmCT, at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY, after a short illness. Funeral service Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11am at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Dean M. Roach officiating. Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 54 Chestnut Grove RD, in Breeding, KY. The family requests visiting after 3pmCT on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the funeral home. Talton "Red" Mercer, 71, Adair Co., KY (1938) Talton "Red" Mercer was the son of the late Hillary Alexander and Neva Geneva Glidewell Mercer of Clay Co., TN. He was born Thursday, October 27, 1938 and died Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at the age of 71 years, and 3 months.
