Obituary: Kenneth Adams, 65, Taylor Co., KY

Mr. Adams was Campbellsville Police Chief and officer for over 30 years prior to retirement. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and of the Pittman Lodge of the Eastern Star

Kenneth Adams, age 65, of Rosecrest, Campbellsville, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11amET/10amCT, Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home, 503 East Main ST, Campbellsville, KY, Bro Wayne Brooks and Todd Gabehart, officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, West Main ST, Campbellsville, KY, with graveside memorial service to be conducted by the Campbellsville Police Honor Guard. The family requests visitation 5-8pmET/4-7pmCT, Monday, January 25, 2010 at the funeral home.

Masonic services will be conducted by Pittman Lodge at 7pmET/6pmCT, Monday.



Kenneth Adams, Taylor Co., KY (1944-2010)

He was the son of the late Homer and Thelma Mulligan Adams. He was born Thursday, February 10, 1944, and died Saturday, January 23, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY.He was retired Campbellsville Police Chief and officer for over 30 years.

He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Pittman Lodge and Eastern Star.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Adams, Campbellsville, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura Lee and Todd Gabehart and Cheryl Lynn and Joseph Davis all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers family request expressions of sympathy to take the form of donations to the Kosair Childrens Hospital or Gideon Bibles which can be made at funeral home.
