Obituary: Tammy Downey Jones, 49, Greensburg, KY

Mrs. Jones was a member of a large, prominent family with deep roots in Adair and Green Counties. She was a member of the Milltown United Methodist Church, and was a hairdresser

Tammy Downey Jones, 49, of Ebenezer Road, Greensburg, KY, passed away Tuesday morning January 5, 2009 at 9:11amCT, as the result of an automobile accident which occurred on HWY 565 in Green Co., KY.

The funeral service will Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jamie Bryant and Bro. Jadell Janes the officiating clergy. Interment in Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, Friday, January 8, 2010 at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Charles Breeding, Colton Downey, Danny Downey, Chad Downey, Barry Bardin, Jason Jones and Ben Harris.



Tammy Downey Jones, Greensburg, KY (1960-2009)

She was born October 29, 1960, the daughter of Arlin and Janice Bardin Downey, who survive. She died January 5, 2009, at the age of 49 years, 2 months, and 7 days.

She is also survived by her husband, Paul Jones of Greensburg, KY, and the following:
  • One sister: Bridgett Lush and husband Charles of Leitchfield, KY

  • Step-daughter: Carly Ann Davis of Lexington, KY

  • Her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Milton and Geraldine Jones of Campbellsville, KY

  • Nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
Tammy was a member of Milltown United Methodist Church and a was a hairdresser.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Gideons Bibles and may be made the funeral home.
