Obituary: Sharon Redford Campbell, 69, Taylor Co., KY

She was a member of a prominent Knifley, Adair Co., KY family

Sharon Redford Campbell, age 69, of Campbellsville, KY, died Monday, December 28, 2009, at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.Funeral services will be conducted at 11amET/10amCT, Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Christie Chapel United Methodist Church, with Bro. Larry Loy officiating. Burial to follow at Harden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pmET to 8pmET/4pm to 7pmCT, at Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home, 503 East Main ST, Campbellsville, KY.



Sharon Humphress Redford Campbell, 69, Adair Co. native (1940-2009)

She was born July 18, 1940, the daughter of of the late Chester and Jewell Humphress of Knifley, Adair Co., KY, and died in Campbellsville, KY on December 28, 2009 at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 10 days.

She was married to Calvin Ardell Redford on July 6, 1957 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1993.

She united in marriage on July 12, 1996 to Paul Campbell who survives.Besides her husband, she is also survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Kevin and Donna Redford, Campbellsville, KY

  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Tonia and Johnny Allen, of Campbellsville, KY; and Charlotte and Tommy Farris of Elkhorn, KY

  • One step son and daughter-in-law: Paul and Carol Campbell, Jr of Cincinnati, OH

  • One step daughter and son-in-law: Carol Jean and Fred Vel-las-que, of WV

  • Five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four step great grandchildren

  • Two brothers: Bill Humphress, of Elkhorn, Jackie Humphress of Lexington and one sister, Hilda Legg of Somerset.
