Obituary: Alyne Holman, formerly of Cumberland Co., KY

She was a native of Bow, KY, and was a cosmetologist for Walgreen's Drug Stores. She was a member of Harrods Fork Baptist Church

Alyne Holman, age 77, of Buchanan, Tennessee, formerly of the Bow Community in Cumberland Co., KY, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Clay County Manor in Celina, TN.

Services for Alyne Holman will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY, with burial in the Bow School House Cemetery. Visitation on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 10am until time of service at the funeral home.



Alyne Holman, Cumberland Co., KY (1932-2009)



She was born on Tuesday August 16, 1932 in the Bow Community of Cumberland Co. Ky., the daughter of Alexander Joe Bob and Rettie Wyatt Holman and died December 3, 2009, in Celina, TN at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 18 days.

She was a cosmetologist for Walgreens Drug Stores. She was a member of Harrods Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the following:her brothers, Lester Holman and Harold Holman; and her sister, Ruby Groce.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her children: Patricia (and Buddy) Coffman, of LaGrange, KY; Michael (and Judy) Daniels, of Buchanan, TN; Mark (and Pam) Daniels, of Shelbyville, IN, and Timothy (Robin) Weber of Manassas, VA

  • Her sisters and brother: Betty Crawford, of Celina, TN, Grady Holman, of Burkesville, KY, Belle Daniels, of Columbus, IN, Mildred Groce, of Burkesville, KY

  • Her grandchildren, Travis Coffman, April Coffman, Richard Daniels, Mickelle Daniels, Becky Daniels, Katie Daniels, Josh Daniels, Sophie Weber and Ethan Weber

  • and four great-grandchildren
