Obituary: William B. Montgomery, 61, Stanford, KY

Mr. Montgomery was a graduate of Western Kentucky University and was a case worker for the Department of Social Insurance. His wife of 39 years, Charlotte Bragg Montgomery, who survives, is formerly of Columbia, KY

William B. Montgomery age 61 of Stanford, Ky. passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY.

An Appreciation of Life Service will be 2:30pmET/1:30pmCT, Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Fox Funeral Home, 312 W. Main ST, Stanford, KY, with James Hicks and Jeremy James officiating. Burial to follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pmET, Saturday, November 28, 2009, at the funeral home.

William B. Montgomery was born on Monday, December 1, 1947, in McKinney, KY, to the late Manual Clark and Marion Virginia Arrington Montgomery. He passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY, at the age of 61 years, 11 months, and 26 days.

Bill was a graduate of Western Kentucky University and a retired case worker for the Department of Social Insurance, Commonwealth of Kentucky.He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Charlotte Bragg Montgomery of Stanford, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Adam Montgomery of Bowling Green, KY

  • One daughter: Kallen Wright and husband James of Ottenheim, KY

  • One brother: Michael Montgomery and wife Asara of Louisville, KY.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may to the American Cancer Society.
