Obituary: Lewis Ollie Ash, 62, Adair Co., KY

He was an Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a press operator in Michigan

Lewis Ollie Ash, 62, of 614 Grassy Springs Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Sunday morning, November 1, at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room.

Stotts-Phelps McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements. Cremation had been chosen and a memorial service will be held later in Michigan.



Lewis Ollie Ash (1947-2009)

Lewis Ollie Ash was the son of Eldon Le Roy and Emma Jean Patrick Ash and was born on August 4, 1947 in Michigan and passed away Sunday afternoon, November 1, 2009, at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room at the age of 62 years, 2 months, and 28 days.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ash of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Four children: Jeffrey Ash and Laura Ash, of Sturgis, MI;Gary Ash of Evansville, IN; and Shanon Holt of La Grange, IN

  • One brother: Michael Ash of Cincinnati, OH

  • Three sisters: Betty Miller of Elkhart, IN; Donna Froman of Corydon, IN;and Vickie Williams of Fort Wayne, IN

  • And six grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Reynolds.

He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U. S. Army, a life time member of theVFW and was a press operator in Michigan

Cremation had been chosen and a memorial service will be held later in Michigan.
