Obituary: Pearline Ford Smith, 94

Mrs. Smith was a member of a large, highly regarded Taylor Co., KY family with relatives in Adair. She leaves 37 living descendants. She was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church
Pearline Ford Smith of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James A. Ford and Lula Jones Ford, was born February 28, 1915, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:05 P.M., Tuesday, October 27, 2009, in Campbellsville, KY, at the age of 94 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

The funeral was Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, Campbellsville, KY.



She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Robert L. "Pug" Smith November 14, 1934. He preceded her in death March 11, 1999.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters and one son: Marilyn Smith and husband, Mike of Campbellsville, KY; Lenuel A. Smith and wife, Bonnie of Columbia, KY; and Carolyn Larimore and husband, Rhea of Louisville, KY

  • Ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren

  • One sister: Elymus Lewis of Windsor, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Smith, Sr. June 3, 2003.Funeral services were at 2:00pmET, Sunday, November 1, 2009, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY by Rev. Jim Collison and Rev. Todd Parrish. Burial was in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3678 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.

Pallbearers were Ed Cheatham, Gerry Davie II, Walter Honeycutt, Michael Larimore, Wayne Morin, Jarrett Smith, Kenneth H. Smith, Jr.; and William Allen Smith.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY.
