Obituary: Bertha Lee Neal, 66, Cave City, KY

Bertha Lee Neal, 66 of Cave City, KY, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Saturday, October 31, 2009, at Butler Funeral Homem 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3pmCT until 8pmCT, Friday, October 30, and after 9amCT, Saturday, October 31, 2009, at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Bill Davis and Beulah Young Davis of Cave City who survives.

She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith.

Besides her mother, she is survived by the following:
  • One son: Frankie (Sheena) Stockton of Cave City, KY

  • Two brothers: Billy Davis of Cave City, KY; and Robert (Donna) Davis of Horse Cave, KY

  • Three sisters: Dora Hawkins and Linda Pedigo both of Cave City, KY; and Dorothy (Roger) Barlow of Tompkinsville, KY

  • Two brother in laws: Donnie Gilpin of Edmonton, KY; and Tim Piercy of Cave City, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Thomas (Amber) Philpott of Cave City, KY; Riley (Velvet) Philpott of Randolph, KY; and Ralph French of Cave City, KY

  • Two great grandchildren: William Philpott of Randolph and Sabastian Philpott of Cave City, KY

  • Special friends: Ed and Linda Jewell of Cave City, KY; and Anette Minor of Cave City
Besides her father she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Stockton and three sistersm Nettie Gilpin, Lucy Reece and Sarah PiercyButler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
