Obituary: James W. Hines, 72, formerly of Campbellsville, KY

Mr. Hines was a native of Taylor Co., KY, and a research chemist

James Wallace Hines, 72, died October 23, 2009, in Lexington, KY.

Memorial services will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Wednesday, October 28, 2009 atthe Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 408 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Dr. Ted Beam.



James Wallace Hines, Lexington, formerly of Campbellsville, KY (1937-2009)

James Wallace Hines, of Lexington, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Hobert Hines and Hazel Jones Hines, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, February 16, 1937. He died at 10:23pmET, Friday, October 23, 2009, in Lexington, KY, at the age of 72 years, 8 months, and 7 days.

He was a research chemist.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter and their spouses: Mitchell and Amy Hines of Lexington, KY, and Lisa and Mike Egan of Elk River, MN

  • Five grandchildren: Shyler Egan and Matthew Egan of Minnesota and Madison Hines, Jacob Martin, and Gracie Hines of Lexington, KY

  • And several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: William Hines, Donald Hines, David Hines, Marion Hines and Margaret Johnson.

Family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and may be made at the funeral home.
