GABRAKY cyclist make stop at Lindsey Wilson, Sunday

Governor's Autumn Bicycle Ride Across Kentucky has record number of riders this year. Trek is from Carrollton to Dale Hollow Resort, Cumberland Co., KY

COLUMBIA, KY - More than 70 cyclists stopped Sunday at Lindsey Wilson College on their way to Dale Hollow Lake in Cumberland County.



The cyclists included two Lindsey Wilson employees. They were riding in the in the Governor's Autumn Bicycle Ride Across Kentucky, also known as GABRAKY. The 225-mile bike ride began Friday morning in Carrollton and finished Sunday afternoon at Dale Hollow Lake.

On Sunday morning, the bikers road through Columbia, where they stopped for brunch at the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center and also received a tour of the John B. Begley Chapel. Several members of the Lindsey Wilson cycling team joined the riders for the final leg of the tour.

The bike ride is a fund-raiser to help support the Grand Theater in downtown Frankfort. This year's ride attracted a record number of riders, according to GABRAKY organizers.
