Obituary: Evelyn Fudge, 93, Adair County native

Mrs. Fudge was a resident of Hot Springs, AR at the time of her death. She was a member of a large, prominent South Adair County family. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Columbia, KY, and was employed at the Circle R Restaurant here for 38 years

Evelyn Fudge age 93 years of 921 Shady Grove RD, Hot Springs, AR formerly of Columbia, KY, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 at 6:15pmCT, at her home after an illness.

The funeral service for Evelyn Fudge will be Monday, August 17, 2009, at 1:00pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. William R. Davenport and Rev. Don Watson the officiating clergy. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5:30pmCT, Sunday, August 16, 2009. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY.



Evelyn Fudge, Adair County Native (October 15, 1915 - August 13, 2009)

Evelyn Fudge, was born October 15, 1915, the daughter of the late Ivan and Alma Sparks Harvey of Adair Co., KY, and passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 at 6:15pmCT, at her home at 921 Shady Grove RD, Hot Springs, AR, after an illness, making her lifetime 93 years, 9 months, and 29 days.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Fudge, Hot Springs, AR, and the following:
  • One daughter: Barbara Rinke and husband Phil of Hot Springs Village, AR

  • One son: Carlos O. Fudge and his wife, Barbara Jo of New Castle, IN

  • Four grandchildren: Lieslie Wilson, Teresa Scott and husband Steve; Ricky Fudge, and Jennifer Stevens and husband Kyle

  • Four great grandchildren: Marci Hubbard, Megan Chapman, Bryson Reed, and Kade Stevens

  • One great great granchild: Adriana Cotham

  • A special daughter-in-law: Charlotte Ollestad, Columbia, KY

  • Two special caregivers: Barbara Osby and Loretta Griffith

  • And several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Mike Fudge and Lisa Kay Fudge, and by three brothers and one sister, Carl, cay, and Venus Harvey, and Birchie England.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Columbia, KY, and worked at the Circle R Restaurant for 38 years.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice Home Care in Hot Springs, AR, and can be made at the funeral home.
