Mink sighting barely west of town of Glens Fork, KY

Follow up to letter, "KY 900 sighting of mink-like creature"
Animals were in front of the Stick Harmon place

After Pat Pocchio wrote to us about seeing two mink on KY 900, we sent a note asking for a more specific account, including a more definite location. Her detailed account below brings the event into focus. Most Adair Countians know the Stick Harmon place, the pretty farm along the creek near Glens Fork. It's on the south side of KY 900, the scenic road through some gorgeous Adair County countryside to Simpson Ridge and beyond to Hadley Valley and finally Cundiff on Melson Ridge.

She wrote:
Sue Henningsen and I were traveling on 900 headed towards 55 intersection. We were about a mile from the intersection.

The one mink crossing the road was coming from a semi wooded area--tall grass for haying. It was headed up a driveway of Stick Harmons house.

He has a concrete bridge over a creek that runs along 900. His house is set back some on the side of a hill. In the front yard to one side is his garden.

Sue and I both laughed as we both said we needed a camera in our car. One other thought it was raining at the time and that could account for the sighting.
