Christine Andrew, 85, member Beech Grove SBC

She was a member of a respected Adair County family who had a 25 year career as a cook in the food service department at John Adair Middle School

Christine Huddleston Andrew, 84, Glensfork, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at 4:55pmCT at Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY.The funeral service will be Friday, January 25, 2008, at 1:00pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Hershey Giles the officiating clergy.



She was born May 15, 1922, the daughter of the late Herbert and Bertha Grant Huddleston and was the widow of Troy C. Andrew, who preceded her in death on August 17, 1994.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Troy Andrew, Jr.., on April 5, 2003; a grandson, Ricky Grant, July 25, 2003, and one brother, Ben Huddleston, October 10, 1996.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Geneva F. Grant, Glensfork, KY, and Julita Spoon and her husband, Lester, Fairplay, KY

  • One brother: William Huddleston, Glensfork, KY

  • Four sisters: Kathleen Powell and Maxine Dykes, both of Glensfork, KY; and Earnesteen Bryson and Nadine Scott, both of Columbia, KY

  • And five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Andrew was a member of the Beech Grove Separate Baptist Church and was a cook at John Adair Middle School for 25 years.

Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4:00pm, Thursday, January 24, 2008, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY.
