Obituary: William Edward Firkin, 81

He was a member of Epiphany UMC, a retired Kroger warehouseman and member of the Teamsters Local 89, a Mason, member of Eastern Star. A native of Adair County, he will be returned to Breeding for commital service

William Edward Firkin, 81, Louisville, KY, formerly of Breeding, died Friday, January 18, 2008, at the Norton Healthcare Pavillion in Louisville.

The funeral service will be Monday, January 21, 2008, at 11:00amET/10:00amCT, at J.E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home on Southside Drive in Louisville with visitation on Sunday from 2-8:00pmET/1:00-7:00pmCT.



A comital service will be at 1:00pmCT, Monday, January 21, 2008 at Fudge Cemetery in Breeding, KY.

He was a retired warehouseman at Kroger Company, a member of Epiphany United Methodist Church, a member of Teamsters Local 89, a Mason and a member of Eastern Star.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Yarberry Firkin, Louisville, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter and son in law: Theresa and Willie Matheis

  • One son and daughter in law: Tim and Jackie Firkin

  • Four grandchildren and one great grandchild
