Obituary: Frances Louise Brockman Masserant, 89

Mrs. Masserant was a member of a respected northwestern Adair County family and a member of a of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Louisville, a retired realtor and beautician

Frances Louise Brockman Masserant, 89, a resident of Harborside Nursing Home in Louisville, KY, formerly of the Kemp Community in Adair County, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008, in Louisville, KY, after several weeks illness.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 18, 2008, at 1:00pmCT, at the Orr Cemetery in Green County, KY, with Rev. David Alexander the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Orr Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am, Friday, January 18, 2008, at Stotts-Phelps-McQuaeary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.


She was born September 21, 1918, the daughter of the late John Isaac (Ike) Brockman and Mary Elizabeth (Lottie) Squires Brockman of Adair County, KY.Mrs. Masserant is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Leon E. McCormick, Jr., North East, PA; and Thomas McCormick, Milwaukee, WI

  • Two daughters; Sharen Bryan, Toledo, OH; and Susan Masserant, Sellersburg, IN

  • Eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Amos.

She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Louisville, KY. Mrs. Masserant was a former realtor and beautician.
