Obituary: Christine "Cricket" Martin, 92, member Milltown UMC

Mrs. Martin was a member of a large, respected Western Adair County family

Christine "Cricket" Martin, 92, 202 S. High Street, Columbia, KY, died Friday, April 27, 2007, at 1:10am at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Sunday, April 29, 2007, at 2:00pm CT, at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. JaDell Janes officiating.



She was a daughter of the lat C.G. and Mattie Rogers and a member of Milltown United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Brown and Clarence Martin and by three brothers and two sisters, Kermit, Clifton and Clavis Rogers, Ainer Earnest, and Elsie Rogers.She is survived by the following:
  • One brother: Houston Rogers, Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Julia Carter, Owensboro, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews, including, locally, Dr. Ronald Rogers, Phyllis Rogers Green, Chuck Rogers, Lesha Breeding, Teena Young, Carla Baker, Pam Rodgers, and Wayne Rodgers.Burial wil be in Columbia Cemetery.

    Visitation will be after 4pm CT, Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY.Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
