Pearl Fudge, 90, member of Church of God

Mrs. Fudge was the matriarch of a large Adair County family who leaves 69 living descendents

Pearl Fudge, 90, 694 Hatcher-White Road, Columbia, KY, passed away, Friday, March 16, 2007, at 1:05am CT, at her home after several weeks illness.

The funeral service is Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 1:00pm CT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY Clergy officiating: Rev. Victor Flowers

Interment in the Moore Springs Cemetery in Metcalfe County, KY.



She was born August 23, 1916, the daughter of the late: George Birch and Susie Clark Shives Hurt of Metcalfe County, KY

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Buddy Fudge, on August 1, 1993.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Willard Fudge and wife Nan, Glens Fork, KY; and Ronnie Fudge, West Hollywood, CA

  • Five daughters: Susie Beasley and husband J.C., Indianapolis, IN; Juanita Absher, Columbia, KY; Joyce Winters, Naperville, IL; Sharon Goulooze and husband Leonard, Bridgeview, IL; Joann Trumpis and husband Pete, Naperville, IL

  • One brother: Lois (pronounced "Lois") Hurt of Fairmount, IL

  • Four sisters: Betty Lou Robertson, Alice Sue Gibson, and Bobbie Coomer, all of Edmonton, KY; and Imogene Ross of New Palestine, IN

  • And 18 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren and five great great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by one grandson and two great grandsons.

Mrs. Fudge was a member of the Church of God in Worth, Illinois and was a factory worker in the Chicago area for many years.

The family requests visitation after 3:30pm CT on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.
