Obituary: Calvin Furkin, 50, retired State worker Mr. Furkin was a member of the Sparksville Church of the Nazarene Calvin Furkin, 50, 3304 Carrie Bolin Drive, Columbia, KY, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2006, at 6:50am, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY, after a long illness. The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at 1:00pm CT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Lonny Karnes, Bro. Ralph Hadley, and Bro. Elbert Hadley the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Harvey Cemetery, Sparksville, KY. He was the son of the late Coy and Ruth Coomer Furkin of Adair County, KY Mr. Furkin is survived by the following:
Mr. Furkin was a member of the Sparksville Church of the Nazarene and was retired from the Kentucky Department of Highways with 17 years service.
