Adair County Library Honor & Memorial Book Program By Lee Ann Jessee, Adair County Public Library director Are you having a hard time finding that perfect gift for that special person who has everything? Would you like to give a gift that keeps on giving? If you answered yes to these questions then your Adair County Public Library can help! Why not donate to the Memorial and/or Honor Book fund? A book is a perfect gift for any occasion. For as little as $30.00 the library can purchase a book which can be read by several generations. The inside cover of each book will contain a bookplate showing the honoree's name, the occasion and the date. There are two bookplates available: Honor and Memorial: The Honor Bookplates are for any occasion such as birthdays, thank you's, tributes, graduations, retirements, births and Christmas.Memorial Bookplates will pay tribute to a departed loved one.In addition to the bookplate, an announcement of of your gift will be sent to the person who you designate informing them of your gift. As a donor you will receive a letter of thanks as well as a receipt for tax purposes. Your donation to this program will enable your public library to build a strong collection of knowledge that will be available to the community for years to come. For more information please contact the library at 270-384-2472. This story was posted on 2006-12-12 16:13:31
